Poster 2.0b 05/08/93
Poster would not recognize names with less than 7 characters. This has
been fixed.
Poster 2.0 01/20/93
I have had a bunch of requests about changing this color or that color so
I decided add the ability to allow the SysOp to create bulletin "templates"
that allow the sysop to make the bulletins look any way they want. Look
at Poster.DOC under POSTER.DOC for complete details.
Some Color has been added to the big bulletin.
Poster 1.5 11/10/92
Still some minor error 5 problems. This should take care of them all.
Poster 1.4 09/16/92
Poster would sometimes exit with an error 5 if a strange line
was in the activity.xxx. This should not happen now. Any strange
lines will be ignored.
Another configuration option has been added called an ASCII winners list.
At the end of the month, Poster will write the winner's names to this list
in straight ASCII format, one line at a time. You can then use this list
to send messages with Dave Cody's Postmaster program to each user on the
winners list.
Poster is now compiled with PDS 7.1 and no longer requires BRUN45.EXE.
Poster 1.3 04/02/92
Crown Jewel BBS has moved to a new phone number - (813)696-2444.
The registration address for both Time Door and Poster has changed also.
This version of the program reflects these changes. Registrations
that have been sent to the old address should not be delayed.
Poster 1.2 03/18/92
Fixes a date error problem that would occur with some activity logs.
Poster 1.1 02/01/92
Adds the registration option - registered users should pick the
REGISTER YOUR COPY OF POSTER option in POSTER CONFIGURE and answer the
questions about your code. This will register your copy. Thanks for
your support. If you haven't registered, remember its only $5.00 (a
little more for non-USA orders). Registration will take effect, the
next time Poster is loaded after the code is entered.
Enhanced configuration option added. Exclusion of users and security
levels is now done from POSTER.CFG. Now you don't have to worry about
modifying ASCII files.
Registered User Options
As with Time Door, new options added to Poster will generally be for
registered users only. The first of these options is ...
Conference Weighting...
You can now make messages in some conferences worth more using conference
weighting. You can also, make messages in a conference worth nothing if
you want. This is perfect for private mail only conferences. The purpose
of Poster is to encourage your users to post Public messages - an important
part of just about any BBS. Note: If your copy is not registered, this
option will not appear on your configuration screen.
Poster 1.01 01/12/92
Fixes problem with the date caused by the user of "/"'s in the security
profile name.
Poster 1.0 - 01/01/92
The first PUBLIC release of POSTER!
